Nehemiah 12:46 — “For long ago in the days of David and Asaph there were directors of the singers, and there were songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.”Dear friends,

We now find ourselves on the 7th day, at the end of the first week in November. We are blessed by God’s Grace to have another month ahead of us here on earth to worship our Lord with our praise and thanksgiving.

The word for praise is a Hebrew word that means “to worship” and “to show honor and respect.” It’s to make God shine with our adoration and thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is from a root word which speaks of intimacy. If we remove the definite article we have todah, and it is spelled Taw which is the letter for truth. The next letter is the Daleth which means a doorway to the third letter, Hei, which is the presence of God.

Our thanksgiving to Jesus for His sacrifice on the cross leads us to a doorway or portal to the presence of God and intimacy with Him. May our worship always include praise and thanksgiving to God. May it be the gateway into the intimacy of His Presence.

May this “Thanks-giving,” season be without end. May it all the more lead us into a deeper revelation and experience of what it means to grow in knowing Him as we spend time in the intimacy of His Presence.
